Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center. This position is part of the state of the art Academic Success Center, which opened in 2017 in the center of the SUNY Brockport campus. Working with a team of dedicated, student-centered professionals in the center, the Assistant Director will develop and implement comprehensive programs and interventions to support the recruitment, transition and ongoing academic and personal success of historically underrepresented and underserved groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
  • Experience planning and implementing retention and/or orientation programmatic experiences.
  • Experience working with students.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.


    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Experience working with students at the post secondary level in an advisement, counseling, or student success role or related fields.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading educational and developmental training sessions.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining mentor programs.
  • Experience with appropriate computer programs and technology including: Brightspace, Degree Works, Banner, Slate and familiarity with social media.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 am -5 pm
    Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $60,773.
