SUMMARY
The Department of Social Work at SUNY Brockport invites applications for a full-time, temporary, Lecturer position in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. We seek a dynamic and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, social justice, and anti-oppressive practice. This is a teaching-focused position with opportunities for service and professional development within a collaborative academic community. We are specifically looking for someone with experience in teaching practice classes at the MSW level.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Teaches 4 MSW courses per semester in areas such as clinical practice, mezzo practice & macro practice
- Advises and mentors MSW students.
- Collaborates with faculty on curriculum development and assessment.
- Participates in departmental meetings, committees, and service activities.
- Contributes to maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and engaged learning environment.
- Supports field education through liaison responsibilities or integration of field learning into the classroom.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university
- Minimum of two years of post-MSW professional social work experience
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusive teaching practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience teaching at the graduate or undergraduate level
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: clinical practice, integrated health, or trauma-informed practice at the micro, mezzo and macro level
- LCSW or equivalent clinical license (if applicable to course assignments)
- Experience working with diverse populations in academic or practice settings

Work Schedule:
40 hours/week: Monday-Friday, variable
