The PRODiG+ Fellowship is designed with two primary goals: (1) increase the number and share of excellent and diverse faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (2) strengthen the pathway for retention and support of these candidates. The Department seeks a collaborative scholar/educator committed to preparing advanced generalist social workers through innovative teaching, engaged scholarship, and meaningful service.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Fellow will have opportunities to contribute to departmental committees and advise students. The Fellow will engage in scholarly research and is encouraged to pursue external funding through grant applications. Throughout the Fellowship, the Fellow will receive support from a senior faculty mentor, professional development funding, and valuable new faculty orientation and onboarding resources. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow may be eligible for appointment to a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Social Work through an internal promotion process.
