SUMMARY
The Office Assistant 2 will perform gift, non-gift, pledge, and data entry into Blackbaud Rasier's Edge. They will also assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures for Rasier's Edge while processing all donor acknowledgment letters among other duties.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions:
- Completes gift/non-gift/pledge entry
- Prepares, prints, and mails acknowledgement letters
- Manages paper and electronic filing systems
- With the Advancement Database Manager, develops and implements policies and procedures for all Blackbaud processes.
- Assists with phone coverage
- Distributes mail
- Monitors and responds to emails received in the finance@brockport.edu account
- Maintains scheduling and event calendars
- Stays current in college wide Payment Card Industry initiatives
- Completes monthly Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) logbook
- Maintains filing systems
- Assists with the database conversion from Banner to Raiser's Edge
- Prepares purchase requisitions and checks disbursement forms
- Assists with the supervision of work-study students
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS):
One year of clerical experience.
COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NY HELPS):
Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Office Assistant 2 NY State classified position or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Office Assistant 2 Full-Time, Brockport location.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Banner Information System or Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Proven ability to be professional and courteous.
- Work well under pressure.
- Can multi-task efficiently.
- Has experience and excels in culturally diverse settings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule:
37.5 hours/week: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
