Clinical Supervisor for Marriage Family Interns/Practicum Students
San Jose/Evergreen Community College District


San Jose-Evergreen Community College District is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for Marriage Family Interns/Practicum Students at the San Jose City College campus.

The supervisor shall be employed by San Jose City/Evergreen Community College School District and shall provide supervision of the MFT trainee's /Interns in
compliance the statues, regulation, and professional stands governing marriage family therapists.

Hours: Part/Time hourly. Provide supervision for two 16 week semesters per academic school calendar.

BBS Requirements:
  • Shall be licensed by the State of California for the minimum of 2 years.
  • Shall complete the minimum of six (6) hours of supervision training as set forth in section 1833 (e) of the California Codes and Regulations.
  • Shall offer direct services to an average of 5 clients per week during the last 5 years.
  • Shall complete 36 Continuing Education units every two years to renew license.

    San Jose City/Evergreen Community College Requirements:
  • Shall report to the director of Student Health Services participating as the liaison between staff and the counselors.
  • .Provide a minimum of (1) hour of individual supervision per week per intern
  • Provide a two (2) hour group supervision/training weekly.
  • Spring Semester interview and select trainee/interns for the following fall semester.
  • Participate in the Mental Health Advisory Committee
  • Provide Consultation to Faculty and Staff

    Responsibility to Supervisee
  • Shall sign and abide by the Responsibility Statement for Supervisors of the MFT License (CCR) 1800 37A-523
  • Shall provide evaluation of student's performance as required by their University
  • Shall notify the University in a timely manner of any difficulties in the work performance of the student.
  • Shall review weekly and sign the experience log set forth in CCR 1800 37A-S24
  • Shall sign the Experience Verification form 1800 37A-301
