ACADEMIC SUPPORT COORDINATOR
(Student Services Professional II)


The Kegley Center for Student Success within CSUB Athletics works to ensure that CSUB's Student-Athletes receive the support they need to maintain academic success, remain academically eligible to compete, earn valuable life skills, earn their 4-year or even graduate degree, and ultimately find employment in their chosen field. Said support includes academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, life skills workshops, academic success workshops, career building, networking, and a productive space to study.

Under the supervision of Assistant Athletic Director for Academics, this position designs, implements, and oversees academic related support activities including but not limited to tutoring, study hall, academic success workshops, mentoring, and day-to-day operations of the Kegley Center. This role also spends part of their time advising students from assigned teams on a weekly basis.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
A. Oversees the day-to-day Academic Support operations of the Kegley Center for Student Success (KCSS).
B. Advises student-athletes from assigned teams.
C. Performs end-of-term analysis & assessment for all academic initiatives; assists in grant writing initiatives for academic support programming.
D. Other Job Duties.
